Joanna Mazur / Chair
I am a researcher and PhD candidate at the University of Warsaw. My PhD is focused on the legal aspects of automated decision-making, especially in the public sector. I work as an analyst in Digital Economy Lab (DELab) where I focus on legal aspects of the European digital single market. I joined the European Student Chapter Board in 2018. In 2019-2020 I am the Chair of ESC Board.
Müge Akbulut / Co-Chair
I am a research assistant at the department of information management at the University of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt. And I am also a PhD candidate at Hacettepe University. My research areas are information retrieval, machine learning, and bibliometrics. Since 2019 I am the co-chair of the ESC of ASIS&T.
Maurice Schleußinger / Secretary & Treasurer
I am a PhD student in Information Science at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. There, I am especially interested in Human-Computer-Interaction in Virtual Reality, Information Retrieval and Data Visualization. In my free time I enjoy books, bouldering and good food among other things. Currently, I am the secretary and treasurer of the ESC Board. Franziska Zimmer / Newsletter Editor
I am working as a lecturer and researcher at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in Germany. Currently I am doing research together with Katrin on asylum seeker’s ICT and media usage as well as their information behavior. The evaluation of social media services with focus on social live streaming services is another interest of mine. Since 2019 I am the newsletter editor of the European Student Chapter and also serve as treasurer for the Special Interest Group Social Media.
Katrin Scheibe / Social Media Manager
I’m a researcher and lecturer at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in Germany since 2016. Currently I am doing research with Franziska Zimmer on asylum seeker’s ICT and media usage as well as about their information behavior. My other research interests are analyzing social media services and user behavior, especially on social live streaming services. Some further research projects are about fake news, sentiment analysis, and gamification. In 2019 I joined the ESC Board as Social Media Manager and the Special Interest Group Social Media as Secretary at ASIS&T.

Hiya everyone! My name is Maria, and I am an information scientist from Germany! In research and teaching I focus on information literacy as well as knowledge management and open innovation. As past chair of the European Student Chapter I want to keep on supporting students from Europe and get in touch with you all!
Ivona Grgić / Website Administrator
I am a MSc in Information Sciences and Information Technology from Croatia. I’m currently working as a eCommerce manager, but i’m looking forward to get involved in phD in field of information science. In my free time I enjoy cinema, food and books. Since 2019 I am the Wesbite Administrator of the European Student Chapter of ASIS&T.
