Dear ILS members,

Let’s connect or REconnect! You are invited to attend a virtual social hour for the Information and Learning Sciences (ILS) special interest group of ASIS&T. Join us this May to informally discuss research interests and practices with a primary focus on success stories regarding grants, conference organizing and presentations, and publications. 

As part of ASIS&T’s mission to provide a space for active participation for its members, ILS has created this opportunity for current SIG members, other ASIS&T members, and nonmembers with similar interests to engage with each other. For this social hour, we welcome conversations inclusive of our vast experiences in the scholarly world of ILS. This will allow people at different stages of their careers (e.g., emerging scholars, distinguished researchers) to see how others contribute and advance the field.

Remember, this is an informal meeting! We encourage grantees, conference presenters, and published authors to come ready to talk anecdotally with emerging scholars and mid-career professionals about career development, achievements, and research interests directly related to information and learning sciences.
