Dr. Lu An is a Professor at the School of Information Management, Wuhan University. She obtained her PhD degree in Information Science at Wuhan University and was an exchanging doctoral student at University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee as well as a visiting scholar at Drexel University. She is the SIG Cabinet Director of ASIS&T, a Director of the International Society of Knowledge Organization (ISKO), Deputy editor of Knowledge Organization, and Chair of the 18th ISKO Conference. She served as the Chair of ASIS&T SIG KM, which won SIG of the Year 2022. She also worked as the Jury member of ASIS&T Research in Information Science Award and ASIS&T Cretsos Award for Leadership. She is the winner of ASIS&T Social Media Research Competition 2023, the recipient of CASHL-Emerald LIS Publishing Project Outstanding Paper 2019, ASIS&T SIG Member of the Year 2022 and the First Prize for Excellent Paper at the Annual Conference of Information Science in China 2019 and 2020. She has led two major projects and more than twenty general projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Education of China and so forth. She has published more than 150 papers in the fields of social media analysis and knowledge organization on JASIST, IJIM, IP&M, T&I, SSCR, JOI, ESWA, and Chinese core LIS journals, two monographs, and chapters of six books. She hopes to serve the ASIS&T community with her passion and expertise.
