NEASIS&T Annual Conference 2024 Call for Proposals EXTENSION
Theme: Information Science & Technology Tools & Systems: Emerging, Migrating & Adapting
We are accepting proposals for presentations, panels, workshops and lightning talks/posters related to our conference theme. We welcome proposals from students, faculty, practitioners, and any other role in the information sciences, libraries, archives, and other related sectors. Priority will be given to proposals from presenters in the Northeast region (CT, DE, ME, MD, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT, DC).
Potential ideas include (but are not limited to):
- Large-scale library systems migrations (proprietary/open source, project management, etc.)
- Alternative data (web scraping, site traffic data, etc.)
- Collaborative tools or technology projects (showcase successful collaborations in the information science and technology realm)
- Emerging technology (social apps, AI-enabled apps, and other cutting-edge innovations)
- The role of automation in information science and technology
- Learning management systems (impact on student organization of information, privacy concerns, accessibility issues)
- Web and social media archiving

The Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) bridges the gap between information science practice and research. Members share a common interest in improving the ways society stores, retrieves, analyzes, manages, archives and disseminates information. The Northeast chapter (NEASIS&T) has a particular interest in providing low-cost professional development opportunities to practitioners who work in library digital services, IT systems, and data science.
